South Carolina hometowns, represented by the Municipal Association of South Carolina, bring value to our state as an important building block in supporting economic growth and prosperity.
South Carolina hometowns are focused on promoting economic growth, enhancing a positive quality of life, and encouraging accountability and fiscal responsibility. These principles help guide the Associations advocacy initiatives this session.
An all-inclusive process of gathering input from elected officials and city staff across the state put the spotlight on five challenges common to cities and towns of all sizes. For the 2015 legislative session, the Association will focus on advocating for cities to help meet these challenges through a comprehensive approach involving a combination of legislation, training, research and collaboration.
